We are committed to the improvement of the game of baseball. We believe that this improvement is found in authentic attempts to diversify its players and build their skills.
We recognize and develop the raw, natural talent of urban players and are committed to building the necessary networks needed to convert and strengthen these talents for the benefit of the players and the game.
We believe that every young person is entitled to an opportunity to be successful.
We believe that financial obstacles should not be allowed to be a barrier to a young man’s pursuit of his love for baseball and his need for appropriate training.
We believe that young people learn to lead by leading and understand their value by being valued.
We are passionate that greatness in baseball should be defined by a player’s service to his community as much as for his batting average.

Social Network

In June 2008, L.E.A.D. launched a new social networking site called L.E.A.D.'s Legacy League found at www.legacyleague.com. The site is communication central for players, families and supporters interested in having a better understanding and greater access to important league information and training materials. While the initial site was developed by L.E.A.D.'s team, it is maintained by its community of players, coaches and volunteers. The site, relying on tools familiar to teens allows them to create personalized and safe web profiles while receiving vital info on schedules, service projects and enrichment activities. In addition, our social network allows our players to practice leadership through their participation in forums and group based discussions.
